Sustainable mobility: Equans celebrates a decade of partnership with Casa Transports
For the past 10 years, Equans France, through its Ineo Systrans entity, has been supporting Casa Transports SA, the company in charge of developing the public transport network in Casablanca, Morocco, to support access to public transport for the city’s 4 million inhabitants.
Equans’ NAVINEO Computer Aided Dispatch and Automatic Vehicle Location (CAD/AVL) system was inaugurated in 2012 on the T1 tramway line, in 2019 on the T2 line, and deployed in 2021 on the 700 buses in the Moroccan economic capital. In 2021, CTSA once again demonstrated its confidence in the NAVINEO system by selecting it to equip its future lines: casabusway lines 1 and 2 and casatramway lines 3 and 4.
An expanding public transport network
The local development company Casa Transports SA has worked with Ineo Systrans since 2012 to make public transport attractive and to set up a quality multimodal transport offer. The Equans France entity was initially asked to equip the 124 tramways of the T1 and T2 lines in Casablanca, which are now operated by RATPDEV and are fully operational.
